We, the Neurospice Girls CEOs (aka Kate and Liz), became friends instantly while pursuing a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Drexel University in Philadelphia. We had different career goals but were bonded by our love of fashion, dry, witty humor, and our desire to help others!
Despite our different initial career paths, we both found ADHD showing up in our clinical work. The intersection between ADHD and eating disorders and ADHD and relationship issues was apparently clear to both of us! We have supported hundreds of clients with ADHD in reaching their goals in our therapy practices.
We know firsthand how frustrating and isolating this misunderstood and often misdiagnosed disorder can be. Even being a thearpist, we learned little about the disorder in our graduate studies. ADHD can be debilitating, and we both can see how ADHD has impacted our own businesses, careers, and relationships, and we want to help other women learn how their brain works best and how they can truly master their own individual ADHD superpowers so that they can be the truest, most successful versions of themselves!
As ADHD women, we can be loud, silly, awkward, and outspoken. Like many ADHD folks, we love bold, bright colors, animal print, and pop music, and the CEOs of our own companies; hence the name Neurospice Girls CEOs. We aren’t perfect, but by accepting ourselves and understanding how our ADHD works (instead of conforming to the neurotypical mold) we continue to step into our full potential, and we want to help you do the same!
So let’s dive in, learn tips and tricks for managing ADHD, and support one another as we reach our goals! We are so excited to be along this journey with you!!!
Love,
Kate & Liz aka The Neurospice Girls CEOs
